Terms and Conditions
Delivery timescales vary according to product type. Taps, showers, waste kits and all metal bathroom accessories are generally delivered within 2 to 5 working days. Baths are generally delivered within 5 to 15 working days. Individual products may show different delivery timescales in their product description. All delivery timescales are subject to availability. You will receive an order confirmation by email confirming the delivery timescales for your order. In the case of larger items you will also receive a phone call to confirm the specifics of your delivery schedule. If you have critical deadlines please ring in advance of ordering to confirm delivery timescales. We always advise that you do not book a plumber or fitter until all your goods have arrived and been checked.
Classical Baths reserves the right to choose the most cost effective form of delivery. In some cases this may mean that some of your products arrive at different times, for example if ordering taps and a bath your taps may arrive before the bath as a separate consignment. In all cases your order confirmation will clarify the delivery schedule.
Unless otherwise stated orders of less than £500 will incur a £10-£30 delivery charge depending on their size. For all other orders delivery to mainland UK addresses is free unless stated otherwise for specific items and except for deliveries of large items (baths, shower enclosures) to postcodes in Scotland north of Edinburgh and Glasgow and some postcode in the south west which may at our descretion incur an extra £25 delivery charge and for addresses in postal area IV an extra £70 charge and for postal area KW an extra £90 charge.
Delivery of Heavy and/or Bulky Goods
Please note that normal deliveries will be by a single driver and the customer will, where heavy and/or bulky goods are being delivered, be required to provide assistance unloading the vehicle. For such deliveries please ensure that an able bodied person is available to assist in unloading. We can send an extra delivery person if required but this will incur an extra cost, contact us for details. In all cases delivery is to ground floor only. Occasionally it may be necessary to do a kerbside delivery, especially for larger fragile goods shipped on palettes, in this case you must arrange to be able to move the goods under cover yourself from the public access point nearest your building entrance. In all cases you will be given early advice on any special requirements for certain goods. And for larger and heavier items you will always be contacted by phone in advance to arrange the specifics of delivery.
Receiving Deliveries and Checking Goods
You agree to fully unwrap and check all items for damage in transit within 48hrs of delivery. In the case of large items, e.g. baths, you agree to check the goods for visible transit damage before signing the drivers delivery note. If you sign for the goods then you are accepting that the goods arrived without any obvious external damage and subsequent claims for such damage will not be considered (writing 'unchecked' or similar on the delivery note does not change this in any way). If the driver refuses to wait while you check the delivery then you should refuse to accept delivery and call Classical Baths on 0113 2360214 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to inform us. Any visible damage or defects in the products supplied or any delivery shortages must be reported to us within 48hrs of receipt of the goods.
Damaged or Defective Goods
Notification of visibly damaged or defective goods must be made within 48hrs of delivery unless otherwise stated. All travertine products must be inspected for significant damage in transit at the point of delivery before they are signed for. If for any reason goods cannot be checked within this timescale you must notify us and seek our agreement before placing your order. If you have notified us of damaged or defective goods we will at our option either make good any shortage or non-delivery, repair or replace any goods found to be damaged or defective on delivery or refund to you the amount paid for the goods in question.
Classical Baths will not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, disappointment, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem in relation to the goods and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund made under these conditions. Classical Baths shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in delivery or any damage or defect to goods supplied that is caused by any events or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. This does not effect your statutory rights.
In the event of errors in pricing on the web site we will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price. All prices shown on the web site are inclusive of VAT.
Payment and Title
Title to the goods shall not pass to the buyer until payment of all monies has been received by Classical Baths.
Returns will only be accepted if they are returned with their original packaging intact and in the exact same condition as they were dispatched. Cancellations must be requested in writing within 7 days of receipt of goods. You must not write on the product packaging as this will render them in a condition that means they cannot be resold. You should add a further layer of packaging and write the return address on this. We reserve the right to a charge a restocking charge of 15% of the value of the goods excluding carriage costs, we will only do this for items not kept in stock and that we are returning to our suppliers and ourselves paying a restocking fee on (so far as of 20-11-08 we have never charged a restocking fee). Carriage costs will not be refunded, even in the case where delivery is described as free there is a carriage cost incurred by Classical Baths and some of this cost will not be refunded. In the case of brassware (taps, showers, waste kits and towel warmers) this cost is £10, for ceramic items and mirrors it is £30 and for baths and larger furniture items it is £50.. Where another delivery cost is shown on your invoice, e.g. for delivery of fragile goods or for delivery of some products to Scotland and the far South West, this cost is in addition to the £10, £30 or £50 delivery costs for brassware, ceramics/mirrors and larger items.
Where discounts have been applied to entire orders these will be apportioned proportionally between all the products on the invoice and taken into consideration when giving refunds for returned or cancelled goods.
To cancel an order, you must inform Classical Baths by email or phone within seven working days from the day after the goods are received. Classical Baths are under no legal obligation to accept cancellations after this period. We will always do our best though to get an end result where everyone is happy so if there is a problem don't hesitate to contact us however long it is since the item was bought.
Orders for specially made pieces, e.g. painted baths, basins or furniture or specially replated items, are being customised for you and as such are special order items, this means that such items cannot be cancelled from your order once work customising the item begins.
Trade SalesAll trade sales returns and cancellations will incur a 20% restocking fee. Trade sales are repeat or wholesale sales supplied to the trade at specially discounted prices. Custom pieces supplied to the trade cannot be cancelled or returned.
All guarantees alluded to on the Classical Baths web site are manufacturer's guarantees and are passed on to you in good faith but we do not endorse them and they form no part of the contract between yourself and Classical Baths. In the event that the manufacturer becomes insolvent the guarantee will be lost.
