Can a whirlpool or AirSpa system be fitted to any bath (including one I already own)?

Most of the time - yes. Our family team can add a whirlpool or AirSpa package to many acrylic baths, including popular freestanding whirlpool baths and space-saving corner whirlpool baths. There are, however, a few must-check points before the drills come out.

1. Baths That Usually Say “Yes”

Standard rectangular tubs – single- or double-ended, 1400 mm to 1900 mm (enquire if you need a smaller or larger whirlpool bath).
Corner & L/P-shaped shower baths – great when every inch counts.
Drop-in or undermount shells – when you’re building a decked surround.
Selected freestanding models – those with a generous rim and hidden plinth for the pump.

Good to know: We can’t modify a bath that’s already plumbed in—send it to us before first-fix.

2. Baths That Might Say “No”

Ultra-thin steel/enamel shells	Not enough thickness for secure jet fittings.
Narrow rims (< 60 mm)	Jets and air spa nozzles need room to sit flush. Space is needed to ft the controls. If you are close at at the limit check with us first.
No pump access	You’ll need a removable panel or plinth gap for servicing.
Double-skinned sealed composites	Trapped cavity often leaves no space for pipework.

3. Core Requirements at a Glance

Material: 4 mm+ acrylic or reinforced resin.
Rim Width: 40 mm minimum for water jets, 30 mm for air only, 60mm+ for controls if fitted to rim.
Base: Flat area for leg frame; no contoured “feet only” shells.
Access: 600 mm clear run or discreet access hatch.
Power: Dedicated 13 A RCD-protected spur for pump/blower—your electrician will thank you later.
